3.) Context: This exercise is your opportunity to explore the parts of yourself that you may be hiding or denying. By acknowledging your true nature, both light and dark, you can begin to embrace your authentic self without fear or judgment.
4.) Benefits: In a world that often encourages conformity, it’s easy to lose sight of our authentic selves. This exercise encourages you to peel back the layers, confront societal norms and fears, and explore the depths of your being. By acknowledging and confronting the parts of yourself you’ve hidden due to fear or societal expectations, you’re breaking free from patterns that no longer serve you. This process is about self-acceptance and creating space for personal growth and transformation. Do your best to delve into your dark side, even if it feels uncomfortable. Even if it’s wrong, you must acknowledge what is part of you.
5.) Consistent Practice: This exercise isn’t about judgment; it’s about understanding. Embrace the opportunity to discover the parts of yourself that you may have kept in the shadows. By doing so, you’re stepping into your authenticity and giving yourself the permission to live life on your terms.

It may feel scary, not socially acceptable, immoral, or illegal to really acknowledge that these parts are within us. You don’t need to act on them, but it is okay to acknowledge them. What areas of your darkness are you hiding, and would your true nature reveal in its fullest darkness if you stopped suppressing the truth?
